Karina Ranau, wife of the late Epy Kusnandar, was pushed by a man in a stall, see the chronology

Karina Ranau, wife of the late actor Epy Kusnandar, experienced an unpleasant incident in front of her shop in the Kalibata area, South Jakarta. The alleged act of violence occurred on Monday (15/6/2026) afternoon when Karina was preparing to open her business.

The incident started at around 11.45 WIB when a man arrived on a motorbike. At that time, the stall was still covered with a tarpaulin because operating hours would only start about 15 minutes later. The man immediately forced open the tarpaulin covering the stall and shouted to immediately order food in a high voice.

“‘Just a minute, sir, we’ll open in a minute. Wait a minute in the tent, sir, we’ll call you when you’re ready’. ‘No, I’ll just order this now’. Anyway, the atmosphere was bad from the start,” said Karina Ranau when met in the Kalibata area, South Jakarta, Tuesday (16/6/2026) evening.

The situation became increasingly heated, triggered by vehicle parking problems. The man parked his motorbike in front of someone else’s shophouse which was right next to Karina Ranau’s shop.

Karina, who wanted to maintain good relations with neighbors and avoid disrupting nearby business activities, admonished the man to move his vehicle to the proper parking area.

“‘Sir, can you move the motorbike there first, sir? It’s not good’. ‘Why don’t you wait a minute, it’s really running fast!’ “Yes, those words came out, while arriving at me here,” explained Karina Ranau.

The tension reached its peak when the man walked up to the 43-year-old woman with overflowing emotions. Karina Ranau admitted that she felt threatened before the perpetrator finally made sudden physical contact. Karina said the man pushed her until her body bounced and fell on the edge

“It turns out he didn’t hit, he pushed, and pushed really hard. The emotions he carried from there to here, I was pushed in this position, so hard that I fell there. Yes, I was also shocked to the point where I wandered off like that, sir, until I didn’t know what I hit,” he explained.

After this incident, Karina Ranau immediately took firm action by reporting this incident to the police. He has undergone an examination of the Investigation Report (BAP) and carried out a post-mortem to provide evidence of the alleged physical violence he experienced.

“I came to report and indeed the procedure there is that we have to follow the procedures to make a report. To bring people you also have to have them in accordance with their BAP, there is proof of any kind of post mortem. So I had time to go to the post mortem and was also accompanied by the police,” he concluded.

Until now, Karina Ranau is still waiting for the post-mortem results which are expected to come out within the next week. He emphasized that he would not take the peaceful route in the near future because he wanted to provide a deterrent effect to perpetrators who had acted rudely towards him in public places.
