Greysia Polii said her relationship with Nitya was full of conflict
In the upload, Greysia revealed that her relationship with Nitya did not always run smoothly.
Even though in the public eye they appear to be united when competing, differences in character have caused the two to clash several times, making it difficult to build closeness off the field.
“If people look at it, Nitya Krishinda Maheswari and I look very close. On the field we complement each other. Like a perfect couple. But behind that, we are opposites because we have many differences,” wrote Greysia, quoted from the TikTok page @greysiapolii, Thursday (16/7/2026).
Greysia and Nitya were a women’s doubles pair in 2009-2010 before finally being separated. The two of them were paired again in 2013 and fought together at the 2013 SEA Games. However, they did not achieve the expected results.
“After losing in the 2013 SEA Games final, one night in January 2014, I was looking for a moment to invite Nitya to talk privately,” said Greysia.
That moment was the beginning for the two of them to open up to each other. He also finds out the reason behind Nitya’s attitude which has made their relationship feel distant.
In the conversation, Nitya admitted several things she didn’t like about Greysia. One of them is receiving unfair treatment from the coach.
“‘I’m actually annoyed with the situation all this time, Sis. It’s not fair! In my eyes, Sis Ge continues to be the coach’s priority!’, answered Nitya in a high tone, her eyes starting to fill with tears,” wrote Greysia.
This mother of one child was shocked by this confession. However, he tried to listen and tried to understand what he was feeling partner this is badminton.
“I was shocked. But I started to understand. ‘So actually I didn’t do anything wrong with you, did I, Ndut?’ I asked to make sure. ‘Nothing’. ‘But you still don’t like me?’. ‘No! I don’t like it!’. ‘Still want to partner with me for achievement?’. ‘No! I don’t want to!’,” said Greysia.
The two of them dissolved into tears while hugging each other. Even so, they have not found a way out.
“Then, we both cried while hugging. That night ended without a solution. I just wanted to rebuild my friendship with Nitya,” said Greysia.
Greysia Polii and Nitya defeat ego for achievement
The two of them met again in an open session with coach Eng Hian or who is familiarly called Ko Didi. On that occasion, they conveyed their unique things to each other.
“Two months later, our relationship was still gloomy. Then, we met in an open session with our coach, Ko Didi alias Eng Hian. For the first time, we were truly honest. ‘I don’t like Brother Ge when he’s too confidence just right for the match,’ said Nitya. ‘Ndut, next time if you feel me more confident, tell me, okay!’ I replied. ‘I don’t like Sis Ge’s walking style either. How, that’s how it is. Just bother.’ he added,” said Greysia.
He explained that the venting session was slowly becoming more fluid. The two of them are not defending each other, but rather learning to accept criticism.
“‘I don’t like your attitude which tends to be closed’, I said to Nitya. She accepted it,” said Greysia.
A relationship that was initially full of conflict slowly turns into one full of trust.
“We realize that time cannot wait and dreams cannot be postponed. We have to choose, ego or goal. We choose to survive. Improve, not avoid. Slowly, our relationship is recovering,” said Greysia.
Since then, their relationship has slowly improved. Greysia revealed that they were no longer just colleagues in the field, but also strengthened each other in facing various problems.
In fact, Greysia is the only place Nitya can pour her heart out when she experiences difficult situations in her life. The two became close to each other.
“At that moment, I realized, we were not the only ones partnerBut support system one another. Partner “It’s not just about winning, but about taking care of each other in all conditions,” he said.
The problem came ahead of the 2014 Asian Games
Problems came again before the 2014 Asian Games, when Nitya was injured. Even so, Greysia chose to support his decision partner without forcing him to play.
“I didn’t force Nitya to continue the match, because for me a partner is more valuable than just a champion. ‘Ndut, how many times can this opportunity come. With your condition like this, I don’t want to force it. We’re partners, if you weren’t there, what could I do?’,” said Greysia.
“Nitya chose to stay. ‘Does Sis Ge believe that if conditions are like this, I can play?’. I nodded. ‘Believe it!’. When she believed she could, I also believed. Her enthusiasm became my strength too,” she continued.
The support and trust they built ultimately became a big asset to face this match, Mother.
“We have a mantra, ‘Focus on one point’. Not thinking about winning big, but doing our best, one step at a time,” said Greysia.
2014 Asian Games Champion
Their struggle also bore sweet fruit. Greysia and Nitya won the gold medal at the 2014 Asian Games. For Greysia, this victory was not just about becoming champions, but proof that they were able to overcome wounds, differences and egos for the same goal.
“For us, this victory is not just a medal. This is about healing wounds, fighting ego, and choosing to persevere. Behind all that, there is a long, invisible process,” he said.
That’s the story behind Greysia Polii and Nitya Krishinda Maheswari’s victory on the badminton court. There were many sacrifices to overcome each other’s egos in order to bring home gold and make Indonesia proud in the eyes of Asia.

PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
